Have a try on Bicycle?

Very happy to receive a reply from 小伍 where she is one of the lady who like to travel on bike. Actually I'm quite admire her because she dare to travel to Thailand for 2 weeks long only with her super bike and she is travelling alone!!!! How could she do that?

Through her blog, I knew another person name George where he is currently travelling around the world just with his bicycle. He has been travelled to Europe and Australia and pass by Malaysia before he go to Indonesia and Tibet. I'm really think that I am a coward who don't even dare to go for a backpacking trip alone in Malaysia which I had set the target a few years ago.

After having a little chat with 小伍, I think I should try on the bicycle as travel with bicycle can say is the most cheapest way and even my cousin & his wife who always travel around south east asia have not been try this before.

According to her, different type of bicycles are for different purposes depend on what purpose I want to ride the bicycle. 爬山路或颠簸路的买登山车, 走普通公路又要轻要快的买RoadBike/RacingBik, 走长途的最重要车身坚固，steel的车身会骑得舒服. As a new cyclist, I just have to buy a bicycle cost around RM400 - RM500 with some equipment cost around RM200 - RM300, just in case I may not like it. Except helmet, I should buy a gloove, protection for elbow and knee may not be that important. The brand for the bicycle better choose "SHIMANO" as the quality is good if compare to others. She also said that the most important thing is to buy a good 变速器. Wow! She really is an expert.

Well, seems like I have to spend a minimum of RM500 if I want to start on bike (if I choose a cheaper bike) but if I don't buy it I will never do it. My life is a bit boring recently, I don't mind to spend RM500 if this can bring me joy.

It's really a pleasure to meet 小伍. Hope can join her for a trip one day~~~
